Well, Shawn, I have to say that I am a fan of the old Star Wars movies and not so much of the new ones. I became and instant fan of this movie in the theater. It was back to classic action sequences with a simple plot and some cool characters. Obi-Wan Ken obi just took guys to town and Anakin wasn’t as whiny as in the real prequel films. I think that the action was well done, what with being like

those old adventure films that the other Star Wars movies were based on. The lack of an opening crawl was really my only nitpick, but it’s not that big of a deal. There was plenty of comedy throughout and yea. . .I liked it.

Shawn says:
You know aside from Boba Fett not being in it or any Rancors, or Sand People come on the music was kind of not very Star Wars at one point it seemed I was hearing Halo music in a Star Wars movie. I mean come on you got Halo in my Star Wars. Overall I had many laughs the action was good a lot of people on hating on it what do you think about that?

Casey says:
I don’t know what to think of it. I enjoyed it, so I was surprised to learn that many of my buddies and fellow Star Wars fanboys didn’t enjoy it as well. They said they found Asoka annoying, but I thought she was refreshing to the story and yea, she was cool.

Critics wouldn’t love a new Star Wars movie. . .they are sick of the saga, really.

I liked it a lot I was thinking I was going to hate it. Shock it did not suck. That Asoka was small time when it comes to a pain in my ass on our current Star Wars movie I think of Jar Jar and what a little baby back bitch they made Vader seem all crying and what knot.

kind of ruined the Vader I knew and loved. I mean you grow watching Star Wars and nobody fucks with Vader or your ass gets chocked and episode 1-3 sticks it’s head out and wow. 1 was decent, 2 sucked I mean wow how can star wars suck this hard? Then you have 3 which was somewhat bittersweet and a big F U to the fans. I mean look at Indiana Jones come on!

Luke finding out Vader is his farther was the biggest holy shit moment in Star Wars, more shocking then Ewoks kicking ass.

I think this time before Episode III and Episode IV is a fertile playground for good storytelling that can really fix the problems of the prequel trilogy.

For example: Take the sensitive Vader at the end of Episode III, and turn him into the ruthless bastard we saw in Epiosde IV.

It is I Shawn for yet another what are you playing. I am currently playing everyones favorite football game you know it you love it Madden 09 well it is the only football game so take it or leave it.  Now what is my verdict on this game? Get this game. I have been also spending time on the popular shooter Unreal 3 on the Xbox 360. I was thinking of trying out the PS3 version first but now after playing the 360 version I think I would have trouble switching controls at this point in time. Other then that in the hand held department been playing a lot of Contra 4 as that game is the soul reason I bought a DS Lite in the first place. So hope you enjoyed this weeks what are you playing for there will be more to come. Oh and on a side note check out Star Wars the Force Unleashed it is very good and so satisfying to throw a Tie Fighter at the a ton of Storm Troopers.

A lot has been on my mind. I mean when you get asked to choose between GTA4 and MGS4 what do you do? I mean this is a popular question as the argument sizzles, and heats up I am here to end it here and now. With this I have played both beat them and enjoyed both very well. Now the presentation on both games are amazing.

Rockstar games and Hideo Kojima and his crew both outdid there selves on large scales. While MGS4 delivers what may be the final Metal Gear Solid game we play, while GTA4 welcomes us back to a world we have not been blown away from since 2001. Liberty City was such a rich and rewarding place filled with so many things blogs, TV stations, the always great radio and made you have the ability to do so much.

One of the finner features to GTA4 was all the great multi player modes something the PSP had for a while now. So it was nice to see it evolve at a higher level. MGS4 also didn’t back down on great multi play as both are great. While GTA4 beats MGS4 on the choices of modes, both are satisfying. It seems Kojima wanted to make the play experience more like a movie experience as some cut scenes are very long and delivers some answers fans of the series have been wondering? As I enjoyed the mini movie master piece as I later called them. Some of the saddest things I’ve seen in a game. The game for being by far the best PS3 game you will play for some time is a pretty freaking sad game, as it is filled with deep emotion and drama as the series has known and been no stranger to.

While Neko Belic is no solid snake he is a bad ass at that and he does kick substantial ass. He has a torn past and he plans to seek revenge and the past seems to follow him. Going to stripe clubs, playing darts, going bowling or just delivering some drugs it was always entertaining. You get asked to make choices and the game will accept how you make these choices. While you made these choices you always seemed tasked with pleasing all your friends. The more you hang out and bond the more the favors they would be willing to do for you. This is very simaler to the bonding and interaction you have to do in Persona 3 to gain more personas and get them more powerful. Not only that but you can also have a girlfriend in GTA as you can have not just one but at the same time this act applies to please them. They all have their rewards on what they can do for you. Health, Losing wanted stars and etc..

While I enjoyed both a lot the experience I felt when beating MGS4 was a experience like no other while I have enjoyed GTA4 a lot beating it didn’t give that sense of great of accomplishment as MGS4 delivered. On such a huge ground of cinemas as you beat the game you get a cut scene damn near 50 minutes and it is very amazing. Not how I saw the series ending but one I can accept and play again and again. Until then Ladies and Gents take care and on that note we cue the music.

 Well if you read my blog I will say wow … you are patient so now I will get on with a what are you playing this week. I am currently on break from school so as of now I have been pretty much consumed fighting Shadows in the Dark Hour as I level my persona’s in Persona 3. Which gets very excited for Persona 3 Fes which will add an extra 30 hours of addicting game play just what the doctor ordered. Now I have been spending most my dear sweet time with the DS more then anything else. While at the moment Persona is the one game I’ve spent the most time on within the last 72 hours.

              

 On the other games that get rewared with my dear sweet time of playing with them, are Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates I know it’s a long title but this game is everything epic. I’ve spent more time on mutiplay then single play as the level cap in the game is 50. I am at the moment 44 as my warrior still has many dungions and loot to gather I look forward to yet another quest which I will soon take apon.

Now today I picked up Ninja Gaiden Dragon Swords. Now this game made my day today. I will say this if you don’t like this game you hate all things good. The Stylus filled gameplay and very stunning graphics make me wonder how far can the DS get pushed on cutting edge games and amazing gameplay. I spent 2 hours on it today and I’m hooked. I am just lucky that there is yet another Ninja Gaiden game coming out this year.

 Hey everyone before I start just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I know it’s late but as long as we got that covered it’s time to talk about my new love. Now what would this love be you say? I’ll tell you ladies and gents it so happens to be my new and sleek and very amazing DS Lite. Yes that’s right a DS Lite.  Now why did I pick up a DS Lite? Well as a gamer you need one, with games like Zelda, Mario, Kiby, Pokemon and Final Fantasy and other games you might not pay attention to like Trauma center, Elite Beat Agent, Contra 4, Super Princess Peach and Puzzle Quest all have their unique sense and feel.

 

Oh My DS Lite you look so good! 

 

 

Also some games remind you why you love Nintendo so much. The way they will bring back a game that you played so much growing up. As for me that game is Contra 4 which is a true sequeal for this amazing game. Just the freedom with the controls and the game creativity, with the touch screen and the duo screens how one might act as a map for a game. Not to mention some games have you blown or yell into it with it’s built in mic. Which will get preople looking at you funny from a distance no doubt. Not to mention it has built in wi-fi which is the chosen path for all things Nintendo with the DS and the Wii

What can I say? Contra 4 rocks! 

   

So having the ability to play online is amazing Pokemon anyone? Not to mention the rechargeable batteries inside and you get a charge kit with it. The same you get when you buy a phone. Which is great beacuse I spend alot of time with this amazing toy and buying batteries for it would plain suck some of the fun out my DS love. Not to mention if you have friends with a DS one of the coolest things to do is Picto Chat. Which is a chat software on the DS it lets you use the styles so you can type a message or draw pictures.

As much as your heart dessire’s or as long as your batterie life last. The light on the DS is superb you can set the light to different settings but even the lowest setting will still make your games look good as you can play them in any enviorment. Not to mention you can also play your GBA games on it. I’ve been playing Final Fantasy IV Advanced on it and it’s looks great on it plays great too. There is a removeable case on the DS you put your GBA games in it and put it back on when your not playing it so you won’t get dust in your system. It’s Pretty sweet. What makes me more excited about having a DS now is all these great games coming like Advanced Wars Days of Ruin which was one of my favorite games on on the GBA so I’m pretty excited about it’s second title coming to the DS.

9-0 is impressive 

Hey evevyone it’s time to talk more sports and first I like to give congrats to Navy for snapping their 43 year lsoing streak to Notre Dame. Navy was so happy they gave everyone monday off with all their classes and will have a Parade later. I say you earned it for breaking that bad streak of the L’s, and getting yourself a W! Now moving on to other matters on end The Patriots by god are 9-0!

 

 

Now lets be honest is anyone really surprised? Yes the Colts are a good team but they were lacking weapons and they came close to topping off the pats. It was a battle of Defense and not as much of a shootout as I had pictured. It was the clash of the titans and it was a dang good performance while, the Colts are at their worst start in 3 years I believe the Colts will once again face the pats in another AFC Championship game.

 

Now since I’m talking about the Pats there is an annoying issue in the NFL that I’ve never heard in my day as being a die hard fan. Running up the score now I know the Pats could have kicked a field goal instead of going on it on 4th down. Just they choose not too and it paid off. Now this is what annoys me you play the pats you lose bad and you say what they did was disrespect. Look the outcome is this if you don’t like how they out score you then play some Defense! The Patriots will score many points and if your not ready you will look foolish. These players make millions so as I see it they are earning every dollar of it the way they are playing.

 

 

Now there is another issue now I may not be a Ravens fan but still Monday Night Football game with the Steelers and Ravens. One word will describe that game pathelic.That was the worst performance I’ve seen in a long time. I may not be a Raven fan but I expected them to show up to the game. That game was a massacure for Balitmore and hurt any chance of them making the playoffs as I see it. Steve McNair played a horrific game as he had fewest yards passing in NFL history (63) by a quarterback that completed 13 passes. Just plain pathelic.

Well until then I’ll continue to keep the post up and enjoy that my Packers are 7-1 oh yeah!

Hey everyone I’m back from a very long hiatus, finally found some time to write a post with miderms, work and alot of sports I’ve been pretty busy. Now last night was a great night since Boston won which makes me happy. where as C-town is furious. Game 6 will be saturday in Boston go soxs! Now staying with Baseball, Joe Torre declined a one year deal as the Manager with the Yankees which I don’t blame. While he was Manger for 12 years and every year he took the Yankees to the post season and won 4 world series that is very good and this future hall of famer will be missed in the New York commuinty.

                                                                       

   

                                                                                                   

     The Yankees are the kind of team you love them or hate them no in between. Oh well the guy is a future baseball hall of famer. He had a good run. Now moving on to College Football. I was thinking this season would have like 4 big upsets. Wrong any team in the top 10 or 25 seems to be losing to teams they should beat. MIGH, Cal, LSU, USC, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma all part of the upsets. so far a few teams still have perfect records Hawii, BC and Ohio State. I am convinced that by the end of this season there will be no team with a perfect record. So which will make a major bowl game most likly decided by a 1 loss team vs another big 1 loss team. One of the one teams I’ve been most impressed with is Kentucky. While what South Florida has done is pretty amazing, it’s just I think Kentucky is the better team the way they beat LSU in triple overtime is something you don’t see much.Now moving on to NBA while it’s still in Preseason I’m gonna predict that the C’s will make the playoffs. It’s gonna be a different team, Boston won’t just be a baseball and football town. Once again Cletics will be great you’ll see. Now in LA Kobe Bryant needs to shut up and play. Kobe is just too good and Lackers will not trade him. They would be foolish if they did. You don’t trade your franchise player

Next up on the sports platter is NFL. Peyton Manning touchdown record of 49 TDs might actually get broken as Tom Brady now has 21 TDs and 2 int which is surpurb football Tom and the rest of his Patriots are playing. I actually think he will. The way he is playing with 3-4 TDs a game he will. This is the one team that doesn’t actually need a run game it seems. As shocking as that may sound. Just look at the scores of their opponets they man handle everyone. Like Tom Brady against the cowboys last week always beat there teams by 17 points or more. Tom Brady is 24-4 against the NFC. Hey everyone I’m back from my very long and eventful hiatus, which I will disscuss important matters on hand. Like Madden 08 came out today. Did you pick up your copy yet? Or were you one of the many people who stood in line for hours on end just to be one of the first people in line to have that bragging right of saying you were the first? I went to Gamespot and got in early, it helps since I work there otherwise I would never be this lucky. I was decked out in my Packers Jersery 4 plastered across my chest. When I bought mine there were a few more guys with Jerseys something that is nothing new to Madden die hards who take pride in the game and a Die Hard Madden fan tradition.

                                           

                                 This is by far the coolest can you’ll ever see!

 I bought my game and was the first and rushed home. I spent 4 hours non-stop then took a break it was very epic. So much better then 07 it’s insane! I later had rice after words it was very delicious, shortly after went to the comic book store. They were closed, so reasons for this is ( A. Comic book Guy kid is sick, B. Comic book Guy really likes Madden and took the day off to play it non-stop! I’m gonna take a hunch and go with A.

  I later went to safeway to get a drink and stumbled apon Halo 3 Mountian Dew. Says Game Fuel on the can it’s pretty badass! Too bad this is for a limited a time only because I like this Mountain Dew better then the Original Dew. If you havn’t try it yet I suggest you do. That and the more I hear, read or just think about Halo I get more excited I wish I had the game now. Or Bungie would release a single player Demo now.  Speaking of Demos for Bio Shock is on XBL Downloadable content. So if you havn’t downloaded it yet do!

 Call me Crazy but I sort of miss the arcades. With Consoles, computers and emulators you really need no need to ever go unless you wanna nerd it out on DDR, which some fat guy or asian kid will always be hogging it. Serious that game is not that good, Guitar Hero is way better! Now moving on, as I was saying I sort of miss that sense of playing tekken 3 in the arcade. Saying to myself ” awwww yes! I’m the man!” This was at a time when Tekken 3 was my king of fighting games, still is a top for me on fighting games. I always used Eddy Gordo, the break dancer fighter oh yeah he kicked ass! Just he was no Law.

                               As you can see DDR needs to go! Bring in GH!!

                             

 Now what do I miss of the arcades well destroying fools in the arcade. I may have wasted alot of quarters in my life, but after all the quarters, you stop using less. I recall a time when I got so good at Tekken 3 all I needed was a buck for arcade money. Spend a good two hours taking on challengers. Now my skills are not what they use to be. Other then Tekken I played arcade classics, simpsons game, X-Men arcade game and my personal favorite metal slug 2. Neo Geo machines ruled arcades, that was the best part for me. Neo Geo Machines always would have at least 4 games on one machine. So If you didn’t wanna play Metal Slug then play samurai showdown. Which was this awesome 2d fighing game, or king of fighters 94, or 97, either KoF game is a good choice.

  Now what it’s all Halo, or any shooter who dares call themselves the Halo killer. I also play some RTS games it’s not all guns, but I had some good memories in arcades. Arcades will sure be extinct, I can never seeing them lasting. I can actually see myself 20 years from now saying to my kids, “Back in my day we had arcades.” kids will look up in confusion as they will say “whats an arcade?” Yeah  so well as consoles are great I’m sure you all have some epic memories of the times at the arcades.                                       Halo 3 Bata finally has a release date sweet!!

            Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today confirmed the multiplayer beta of Halo 3 will debut to audiences worldwide via Xbox LIVE on May 16.
at 5 a.m. PDT and run through June 6 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Coming exclusively to the Xbox 360™ console this fall, “Halo 3” is the highly anticipated third chapter in the groundbreaking “Halo” trilogy from legendary developers Bungie. “Halo 3” lets gamers experience Master Chief’s greatest battle as he launches an epic mission to stop the Covenant, destroy the impending Flood threat and ultimately save mankind.

   Now this only means this game will have more reason to not wanna leave my house.

                                            
                                                  Grindhouse rocks the house!!!

   So Friday I saw this epic movie with my friend Cory and Lucas. I loved everything about this movie, the fact it was two awesome movies in one felt like I was ripping off the theather. This movie contains everything a badass should have, Zombies, guns, wicked explosions, hot chicks, fast cars, fast bikes, mopeds, more hot chicks and a great cast of actors. Kurt Russle was great in Death Proof as Stunt Man Mike, I also liked Naveen Andrews in Planet Terror.

  After I saw this flick my friends and I were wondering which one was better? Planet Terror or Death Proof? Personally I liked Death Proof. It was so much better. This movie had so many laughs in it, fake movie trailers were great! This movie is not a kind of movie you can rate as one movie. So PT gets a 8 for being a badass zombie flick and DP gets a 10 for being so badass with Kurt Russle being the Ultimate Jam!!

                                 

                                 

                                  Transformers Movie is gonna be the Ultimate Jam!!

  For anyone who’s been living under a rock and does not know what the Transformers  are then read this epic bio.

Transformers are fictional alien robots and the titular characters of a popular Hasbro toy line and its spin-offs. They come from the planet Cybertron and are divided into the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron. They are able to “transform”, rearranging their bodies into a common and innocuous form, such as a car, aircraft, or animal, which is reflected by the taglines “More Than Meets the Eye” and “Robots in Disguise”. Beyond that, they can displace mass, combine or apply synthetic flesh.

All Transformer incarnations have been based around this core concept since their debut in 1984 in various media.  Now this movie is gonna be a live action and after seeing the trailer gives me more reason to wanna see it. I loved the Transformers and the idea of seeing a live action is the Ultimate Jam!! This movie will be great for the fans who grew up on it and the new kids who wanna get into the Transformers. I can’t wait for it to come w00t!
