Just a Couple of Dudes on Co-Op
With games like Army of Two coming with its focus on Co-Op play I think it’s
time I listed my top ten Co-Op games. Now there are a lot of fun games but
not too much focus on that cutting edge feature Co-Op that way you can play
with your buddy and beat that game with team work baby!
Now to start off on the ten spot of the list with the Metal Slug series this
game was only a lot like contra but in some ways better. As this game on the
Neo Geo and on the Neo Geo arcade machines that were really popular in the
early 90’s. There was nothing more fun then taking down zombies, soldiers,
crabs and giant robots and even aliens, with camels, tanks, mechs,
submarines and even jets. This game had many funny moments and cool power
ups for when you saved a hippy he’d give you a shotgun or flame thrower. Not
bad for the hippy saving or the awesome Co-Op play.
Now rolling at number nine is House of the living Dead 2 this was a fun and
hard game. It had many challenges and tough boss fights which gave Co-Op
that great feeling of satisfaction because having that extra gun helped a
lot.
Number eight Socom Navy Seals this game was not only a great multiplayer
game but it also had kick ass Co-Op action with you and your fellow Seal
rolling out and taking down Tangos left and right. It’s a Co-Op game you
can’t miss out on.
Seven, Halo 2 saving the world very awesome, but saving it with two Master
Chiefs if you can get over that you will enjoy this otherwise your missing
out one of the best Co-Op games on Xbox.
At five Rainbow Six Vegas on the 360 this game is amazing and the best
Rainbow six game I’ve ever played the Co-Op is great to get any new comers
to the series into it fast as you tackle the smart enemy AI, by using your
gear and wits you have to get the job done. This is a must have for any
360 owner who wants deep Co-Op or just one of the best 360 games to date.
Now number four Gauntlet this game is one of the kings of Co-Op seeing how
it sucks to play solo. As you can gather your friends for four man Co-Op.
It’s fun and it does get intense when somebody is dying and those monsters
keep coming.
Next at number three we have Splinter Cell Chaos Theory not only is it one of the best Co-Op games it is the best Splinter Cell game. Splinter Cell had a great buddy system as you don’t play as Sam Fisher, instead you play as two spys who are no near Sam Fisher level so you have to work together as you throw your team mate to knock out a gaurd. That and having the task of one guy holding the rope as you lower your team mate to take out the trash. This is a very deep and very fun Co-op experience. If your you love Co-Op gameplay this game is a must have.
Next up is Gears of War at number two now this is an amazing game ask most 360 owners whats the game they play the most on xbox live? You’ll hear Gears of War most the time, but aside from kick ass mutiplay you have amazing Co-Op as one friend plays Marcus and the other plays Dom. This is better since Dom always finds a way to get his ass killed when you play solo. So having that extra man controlling Dom helps a huge lot as you and your buddy will blast your way through countless waves of locast beast who must be destroyed. This is such a great game any one who wants truley amazing Co-Op this is the game to play for a quick Co-Op adventure as the game is about 8 hours.
Now for the number one game for Co-Op action is Contra. This Nes classic is the best Co-Op game period! This game was very tough so you had to do the 30 life code, not to mention having your friend help on Co-Op was pretty much required. This game was so tough that when you did do Co-Op you’d be in for a battle as you take down those pesky Aliens with the Spred gun. Once you beat the game you felt this overall sense of achivement since the game would have you use the code a few times. It has huge replay vaule for the Co-Op action and it never got dull. This game is a classic nuff said hope you enjoyed my Top 10 Thursday!
Until then this is Shawn out!
