Hey Hey everybody It’s me Shawn for yet another post. This time I will be reviewing Turok for the 360. Now Turok has been around for some time, just by far it’s best game in it’s series was Turok was Turok 2 Seeds of Evil. Now this transition from whats now considered classic to next gen. So how does the game hold up? Well it starts out as you are Turok the lone Indian who has a dark past. You came out of a group known as the Lone Wolfs now you are on a task force to kill the Lones Wolf Leader Kain. You and your team get’s hit by space debre that sends you and your teams space craft crashing into an unknown planet.

Here we go …

The results are not so good for your team aside from one fellow comrade our utterly destroyed. So you and your fellow comrade who quickly find out the planet is filled with Dinosaurs oh my!! This also has some of the worst dialogue in a game I’ve seen in some time. I’ll give you an example ” Hey that’s a Dinosaur!” Thanks for pointing that out fellow comrade. Another one is “I hate you Turok!” which makes me think I couldn’t agree more about this game, aside from that I could put up with the game for no more than an hour at a time. As the game looks god awful I mean come on take advantage of the Unreal technology here! As you progress in the game you will get encounters of flashbacks from when you once worked with Kain. You will quickly find out kains men and kain are on this dino infested planet.

The problem I had with this game is aside from the bad visuals, shitty  dialogue and even worse controls. After playing non-stop shooters on the 360 this is not how it should look or feel. Not to mention the more you progress the more you hate the main character Turok. He is a real D-bag just, as much your fellow comrade who doesn’t hide his hatred for you is even more of a D-bag in this lack luster of a game. No I won’t even go as far as to call this a game because that would give games as a whole a bad rep. No this is pure garbage filth! The mutiplayer will make you feel brain dead and very much out of place, I suggest doing this. After playing countless COD4 and H3 I know how a shooter should be. I mean how can you make a game so bad where you wish the main character would be devoured by some raptors. Which would make the game some what of a comic relief for me but no I don’t get that

instead I get Turok the over confident dino hunter with a dark past.

That’s just great now don’t that beat all. The sad part is I can see a sequel for this game easy. because enough people will be dumb enough to think to themselves ” Hey I played Turok once and it was not that bad.” Yeah not that bad, but not that good either. There are some moments that seem to take a page from games like RE4 and God of War with the active buttons push for when you have close encounters with Raptors. Just it’s been done and done better, alot better. It’s getting dull real quick. In the end Turok is a waste of time, money and you shouldn’t play this game. I wouldn’t even wish this game to fall into the hands of my enemies because that’d just be messed up! until then this is Shawn out!

  I’ve been playing enough C&C3 Tiberium Wars to finally give my a full review of the game and my take on it. Now the game goes back to it’s old school roots having it’s actors for its cinemas. Which is awesome with an all star cast you have the girls from Battlestar Galactica, The teacher from Starship Troopers, Josh Holloway from Lost, Billy Dee Willams and it’s totally awesome!

   Now C&C3 handles great! You don’t need a power house machine to run it either. The missions are long and epic and will get tougher as you progress. G.D.I is all about saving the city from destruction, where as Nod wants to Take over the world with the mighty Kain from the Original C&C. Later in the game you get an alien race called Scim which will reckon with both G.D.I and Nod later in the missions. Both Fractions have missions in groups called acts. There are 5 acts for each fraction. Also you can unlock the Scrim missions if you beat both G.D.I and Nod missions.

 The graphics are great, also keeping the C&C formula if it’s not broke don’t fix it. so don’t expect to see anything to change the face of RTS gaming. The game has great replay vaule not for the missions because after you beat them you’ll not wanna play them. The story is forgetable so the replay vaule is all about the skirmis against the computer a.i and the online play.

  The online play is fantastic having some new things like the ability to talk during the game if you have a headset with a mic. So you can actually call a game if ya wanted to. The game has is own version of messenger which is cool. so you can find your buddies and plan a game. Some fractions will have over powered super wepons but a patch could fix that. Now the cimemas will lag a bit. But it’s still awesome video to progress  you into your ongoing battle.

  Overall the game is addicting and a blast to play. Fans of the series will love it and and also great for anyone wanting to get into the series. Until then this is shawn out.

Hi everyone it’s me Shawn back from my little hiatious from blogging, but I’m back so I’m here to review Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube. I am writing this review because my friend Casey had me read his and it made me say wtf?! I told him and got on his case about it so he said I should  write one to counter his.

 So I will get on to the Review. The game takes place six years after the incident in racoon city, Umbrella Corp is gone and you take the Role of Leon Kennedy a US Agent. You are sent on a Rescue mission to save the Presidents daughter Ashley. You are in some town in Europe. The first thing you will notice about this game is it is freaking gorgeous from cineamatics, to gameplay. The diolauge is great and The aiming is finally perfect, with it’s easy controlls.

 Now there are no zombies but it shouldn’t affect you it still has that great RE formula that Capcom knows best. I love that Capcom finally got a perfect RE game and what makes it great well you have an array of weapons you can buy. From the Mercent a man who will always say “What are you buyin?” What are you selling?” “AWWW yes I’ll buy that at a great price!” Shotguns, Tmp, Rocket Launcher, Broken Butterfly which is a very powerful revolver. Not too mention you can upgrade your weapons which you’ll have to as you make more progress in the game.

 The game is only game I can think of where you can get killed in a cut scene, which at first was a big holy shit moment for me. I mean wtf?! I just got killed! So you always have to keep your controller close and have quick hands. The game has a good array of characters aside from Ashley and Leon you have Ada and Luis who helps you every now and then in the game. Also you’ll have random bump in’s with Ada. The scheme once you find Ashley is simple don’t let the villagers get her or harm her while you shoot people trying to chainsaw your head off.

 The game is full of holy shit moments and is the single best reason to own a gamecube. Also seeing how it’s a Capcom game you know your gonna get unlockables and their are alot. Like Assigment Ada where you play as Ada and get to see what she did while you were saving Ashley and putting a stop to the evil in the village. Also the mercenaries is an arcade style mini game all about surviving and racking up as high a score before w/o dying. This game is amazing the fact that the Wii is gonna get it’s own version of it is awesome! If this game was a launch title for the Cube when it first was launched it would have stood a chance at the PS2 and Xbox. Still if you havn’t checked it out and don’t have a Cube it’s on PS2, but if you have a Wii wait for that.

. Casey got annoyed at the Ashley system which gives you simple task of stay, follow me and hide. It’s not too hard casey plus the game is so great you should look that aside.

. Casey wants zombies in it. Well casey guess what you don’t get them it was a nice change besides I’m sure RE5 will have them.

.Casey couldn’t beat the game lol!! Now this game will take you an average 20 hours to beat but it has great replay vaule. Just as Casey says he sucks at games and it’s true.
